Solar Flare For Cloudflare Released On Android And iOS

TwitterFacebookRedditLinkedInHacker News

I am pleased to announce that Solar Flare for Cloudflare, my first mobile development project in a long time, has been published to the iTunes App Store and Google Play!

So what is Solar Flare and who is it designed for? This is a free application for managing data stored in Cloudflare on iOS and Android. If you’re unfamiliar, Cloudflare is an amazing service that acts as a content delivery network (CDN), among other things related to web performance and security.

Solar Flare uses the free and publicly available Cloudflare RESTful APIs for communicating with the Cloudflare service. With these APIs you can manage your DNS records, optimize your web application with various caching and performance options, as well as protect it from malicious users through various firewall and cryptography options.

To use this application you will need a Cloudflare account. It is also important to note that this is not an official Cloudflare application, nor was it endorsed by Cloudflare.

This application can be downloaded via the following links:

To keep this application free, it is supported by advertisements within the application. They were intended to be infrequent and unobtrusive to the user experience. If you’re using an ad-blocker, please disable it for this application.

While not related to the application from an end-user perspective, this application was built with NativeScript and Angular, making it cross platform and consistent between platforms. It is a truly native application with native performance for all devices.
